1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using IELTS Speak (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
IELTS Speak provides automated speaking assessment for English learners preparing for the IELTS exam. The Service uses speech recognition and AI to analyze pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary, and grammar, and generates band score estimates and feedback.
Important: Band scores provided by IELTS Speak are estimates based on automated analysis. They are not official IELTS scores and should not be treated as guarantees of actual exam performance.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate and complete registration information. One person may not maintain more than one free account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringing on others' rights.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to the Service.
- Use the Service to build a competing product.
- Submit excessive automated or abusive requests that degrade service for other users.
5. Intellectual Property
The IELTS Speak platform, including its scoring engine, UI design, and feedback generation logic, is proprietary. You retain ownership of your audio recordings and assessment data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
6. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to reliance on score estimates or unavailability of the Service. In jurisdictions that do not allow such limitations, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms or for extended inactivity. You may delete your account at any time through the platform settings or by contacting support.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.
